ADDRESSING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
The health and well-being of our patients is a top priority. In addition, the safety of those who deliver care — physicians, nurses, hospice aides, chaplains, social workers, etc— is also a key concern. As with any public health issue, Accord Hospice will work with and follow all guidance and protocols issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local public health departments in supporting our patients' and staff needs.
We pledge to:
Make sure your workplaces are clean and hygienic
Promote regular and thorough hand-washing by employees, contractors and customers
Promote good respiratory hygiene in the workplace
Advise employees and contractors to consult national travel advice before going on business trips
Brief our employees, contractors and customers that if COVID-19 starts spreading in your community anyone with even a mild cough or low-grade fever (37.3 C or more) needs to stay at home. They should also stay home (or work from home) if they have had to take simple medications, such as paracetamol/acetaminophen, ibuprofen or aspirin, which may mask symptoms of infection
As additional guidance is provided from federal and state agencies and officials, Accord Hospice will continue to make adjustments to our policies to continue to promote the health and safety of the patients, staff, and communities we serve.
The difference is in the experience you desire.

“When we learned that my husband was declining and would need hospice services I was in a state of shock. Our daughters lived in another state and I didn’t really know where to begin. From my first call to Accord, I felt like everything would be alright. Their experienced staff walked beside me every step and let me spend time with my sweetheart while they managed the details. Thank you Accord.”
“Nobody else ever cared for my wife except me. When our Doctor said we needed Hospice we were both a little weary at the idea of strangers in our home. Then we met our Nurse; she was so genuine and answered all my questions, even the ones I could not ask. All of the caregivers were friendly, experienced, and respected my wife’s wishes and our home. We were fortunate to have the team at Accord in those last months, I could not have asked for better care for my wife. Thank you.”
“Thank you to the caring nurses and staff at Accord Hospice. We had no idea that mom was eligible for hospice care free of charge and that the services were so comprehensive. The staff were there nearly everyday to provide us with support, information, and most of all compassionate care. Our family will always be grateful.”
“Accord Hospice did a wonderful job caring for my father in his final weeks. I wish we had known about them sooner. I would definitely recommend their knowledgeable staff!”
