Care Giver's Support Group

Often times, we hear caregivers say they are looking for support from people who "really understand because they've been there, too." Accord's Caregiver Support Group offers just that – a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to meet and develop a mutual support system.

Contact your local Accord Agency for date and times of the next upcoming Care Giver's Support Group.

Bereavement Support Group

Bereavement care is an essential component of hospice care that includes anticipating grief reactions and providing ongoing support for the bereaved over a period of 13 months.  While the terms are often used interchangeably, bereavement refers to the state of loss, and grief is the reaction to loss.

Along with this support, Accord Hospice offers a Bereavement Support Group. This group is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. Contact your local Accord Agency for more information on date and times.

Volunteer Support Options

Whether they provide companionship to a patient and their loved ones or offer administrative support, Accord Hospice volunteers significantly impact the lives of each person they encounter.

Each volunteer also receives an amazing gift of knowing that their smiling face and gentle hands are of enormous comfort to each patient they meet.  In addition, their hard work and dedication ensures that Accord Hospice exceeds the highest standard of care.

If you would like the support of a volunteer, please let your Accord team member know.
